The new Wetland habitat is ageing nicely - a pair of ducks have been seen nesting on the tufts of
reeds in the centre of one of the ponds and signs of an otter family have been found. We’re now
in a higher level stewardship agreement in that conservation area from April 1st

Our new cottages are well under way and we’re hoping for completion in March 2012.
The Old Milk House (now available) and the Stables are smaller cottages very similar to
Granary but are twin bedded and will be based close to Granary prices.
Cattle are inside now for the winter and Byre and Milkhouse bedroom windows actually look
across the yard to the buildings. So you may watch the cows nibbling their silage and sheltering
from the cold. Three of the cows are getting fatter and calves are due from February onwards.
We’re now taking bookings for “The Stable” - same prices as Milk House

As part of the ongoing environmental scheme – hedge protection work has been carried out
over the winter with some new stiles and gateways added round the farm. Some hedge
planting has taken place in the gaps to restore the ancient hedges, with a mixture of native
plants.
Meadow restoration work started last year with some native wild flower seeds gathered from
a nearly farm and planted, we wait to see if they grow and more seed work will be
undertaken in July with wild flower seeds planted after the hay
